2RRR often puts together special projects, to help increase the awareness of the station, to help unsigned artists, and to help raise funds to keep the station on air. These are some of those projects.
Underearthed 2
On the back of the original Underearthed CD, 2RRR's metal hosts Zandrah, Mark and Prawnman have produced Underearthed 2, the second in a series of CDs promoting Australian underground metal.
A competition was run through community radio and underground media inviting all unsigned underground bands to send in their best tracks and the best of these has been included here. Local metalhead artists provided the artwork.
Artists include Bludgeoner; Malice; Kania; Vespers Descent; Shadowgrinder; Lycanthia; Degeneracy; Spawn; Apolyom; Forest Nocturne; Tyburnjig; Centaur; Vrag; The Amenta; Backyard Mortuary; Maximum Perversion; Forlorn Suffering; Miscreation; Slaughter Thou; Ebolie; Switchblade; Intorment Black; Pyromesh; Punisher and Deluge.
All proceeds go towards the next CD in the series.

Eternal Chapters
Eternal Chapters is a double CD compilation of Australian and International Gothic artists, and was compiled by Leigh, one of our programmers, as a document of just some of the artists who have featured on her Sacrament Radio program over the past ten years.
Artists include Corpus Delicti, Jerusalem Syndrome, Autumn, Life Eternal, The Real Story, Clan Of Xymox, Eden, Chateau Royale, The Screaming Dead, Suspiria, Beltane, The Baroness And Love Lies Bleeding, Mantra, This Ascension, Eternia, Ikon, Disjecta Membra, Ostia, The Last Dance, Kismet, Inkubus Sukkubus, Subterfuge, Fahrenheit 451, Neuropaque, Shinjuku Thief and Puppetsphere.

Underearthed
In 2001 2RRR received a grant from AMRAP to produce a CD promoting a genre of music and community radio.
The publicity director at the time decided to use metal and enlisted the help of 2RRR metal show presenters. A competition was organised to find the best unsigned metal bands and artists from around the country. While the original idea was to include 13 bands, the CD ended including 17 bands and 3 different artists contributed to the artwork.
Since the release of the CD, Volatile's song Achmed the Fuckhead has been included on the soundtrack of a movie and Mark Lloyd was contracted to provide the artwork for Enter VI's CD, both on the back of their involvement with Underearthed.
Artists include Casket Slumber; Syphilis; Transfear; Pathogen; Myrddraal; Lycanthia; Malice; Pagan; Volatile; Headmess; Exhibit A; Maximum Perversion; Empress in Thorns; Enter VI; Forlorn Suffering; Baraka; and Dark Order.
Underearthed is not available for sale, it was developed to be sent to other community radio stations.
