These programs relate to music within the jazz genre and from the mid to early 20th century. Programs include Midday Jazz Monday, Midday Jazz Tuesday, Down Memory Lane, and others.

Midday Jazz Wednesday

If it swings, there’s melody, a beat then I’ll play it. The program will be mainly jazz taken from the years 1940 – 70 but we must remember our roots and future! I hope you enjoy some uplifting music in the middle of the day to carry you through the afternoon and beyond.

Midday Jazz Thursday

Thursday’s Midday Jazz consists of mainly contemporary versions of The Great American Songbook. Plus, for a bit of fun, we have the Stage and Screen with a Twist of Jazz Quiz at around 12-45 to test your trivia – or your success at guessing accurately – from the three alternate answers suggested.

Down Memory Lane

For the music of the 1920s, 30s and 40s – tune from 10am to Midday on Mondays and turn back the clock to the first half of the 20th century. Hear those great tracks..crooners, big bands, vintage comedy and sing-along favourites.

There Goes That Song Again

We listen to and talk about the popular music and the artists of the 1940s, 50s and 60s & also re-discover forgotten artists and songs. The emphasis is mostly on the easy-listening music of the era before the arrival of rock and roll and which also continued beyond. Regular features may include tributes to particular artists, interview excerpts, songs from the 20s or 30s revived in the 40s, 50s or 60s, songs that topped the charts 60, 70 or 80 years ago – and more!
