An accomplished author and artist, Aunty Rhonda is the co-author and artist behind Bobtail’s Friend, the third installment of the Spirit of the Dreaming series, which brings ancient Dreaming stories into today, showing that the Dreaming never ended. Inspired by her grandchildren, Aunty Rhonda aims to inspire First Nations children to be proud of who they are through the heart-warming storytelling and beautiful illustrations of Bobtail’s Friend. Jacki Ferro, Writer, and Editor Brisbane-based writer and editor Jacki Ferro specializes in memoirs and runs her own business Raw Memoirs. Jacki co-wrote Aunty Rhonda’s life story, Alice’s Daughter: Lost Mission Child (Aboriginal Studies Press, 2017). During the 2020 pandemic, Aunty Rhonda (known as Aunty Curlew after her totem) and Jacki (who Aunty calls Dragonfly Girl) teamed up again to write Aboriginal Dreaming stories, and Aunty Rhonda created the magical artwork. Jacki is qualified in public relations, community development, writing, editing, and publishing.
