Since 1984, 2RRR has provided a pathway for many individuals wishing to further their careers in the media industry. A notable 2RRR success story is Triple J’s Music Director, Nick Findlay, who began broadcasting at 2RRR during the early 2000s, which amplified his passion and skills for radio broadcasting.
Fast forward to 2022, with the help of a community grant from the City of Ryde, 2RRR invited Nick back to where it all began for him to inspire a current crew of up-and-coming radio enthusiasts.
The event was coupled with an introduction to radio broadcasting and the many avenues one can take by volunteering at their local community radio station. The greatest achievement was witnessing our youth broadcasters become motivated to exercise their creative control and improve their skills and confidence on the radio.
