For the week of Australia Day, Australian Jazz featured exclusively on Monday’s Midday Jazz. Many of Australia’s finest traditional jazz musicians were heard with Australian themed compositions such as ‘The Big Bad Banksia Man‘ and ‘Swanston Street Shamble‘.
On top of this, February will feature four interesting and hot episodes highlighting jazz releases from the 1920s and 1930s. These episodes will include jazz inspired by the railroad, jazz inspired by the riverboats, British jazz, as well as an entire program focused around Count Basie!
