Planet Football has been going to air since 2010 and in its current format on Saturdays since 2013. The program has been a finalist at the CBAA Awards for ‘Excellence in Sports Programming’ on three occasions over the last five years. The show is all about the world game, “football”, with an emphasis on local football within our catchment area.
On the first Saturday of November, The Lone Ranger will be speaking with Warrick Ford, Australia’s best-known historian and sports statistician. On the second Saturday of the month, The Lone Ranger will feature the ‘Women’s Hour’ with the Gladesville Ravens and the Koalas. Additionally, on the third Saturday of the month, The Lone Ranger will spotlight UK sporting news with the ‘EPL’ hour. Finally, to wrap up the month, The Lone Ranger will chat with Spirit FC Head Coach David Perkovic and will devote the second half of the show to a mystery guest.
