Sydney Sounds has been broadcasting at the station since 1987, hosted by one of Sydney’s finest music curators, Kevin “BigDaddyK” Cherry. Every Saturday, Kevin covers exciting local alternative-rock music from Sydney bands.
Throughout February, Peter “Rossy” Ross from Jupiter V and his 18-year-old son Angus (who performs with the band Pocketwatch), appeared on the program to share some of their music live in the studio. On top of this, Jayne Murphy and Phil Hall from the band Flowers for Jayne performed a few songs live on the show to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Dangerous Woman’. Plus, Peter Bourke and Phillip Van Rooyen from the band Sonic Garage and Stewart Cunningham from Leadfinger also chatted with Kevin about their new albums; ‘Space Travel’ and ‘Silver And Black’.
To keep up to date with everything new in Sydney music, feel free to tune in each Saturday to Sydney Sounds.
