About Sydney Kannada Vani

A radio program for listeners who speak Kannada, an Indian language.

Indian and Sri Lankan migrants form a major part of the Australian migrant family. Over one million migrants from these two countries have called Australia Home. Kannada is one of the major languages spoken by this migrant group. Sydney Kannada Vani caters to the cultural and educational needs of this migrant group by highlighting and promoting community activities and at the same time providing vital information on changes to migration, settlement, social security policies of both State and Federal Governments. It is heartening to note that Sydney kannada Vani’s live talk-back has become very popular. 

The main host of Sydney Kannada Vani is Raj Natarajan from Eastwood, an Electronics Engineer running his own engineering consultancy business. Raj whose mother-tongue is Kannada language also produces a TV show called “OzIndian”  which is broadcast 3 times a week on FOXTEL Channel 173 (Aurora) nation-wide.”
