CELEBRATING INDIGENOUS MUSIC AND DANCE DURING NAIDOC WEEK IN RYDE 

The magic of Aboriginal music and dance brought Top Ryde Library to life in July with a captivating performance by Walangari Karntawarra and his group Diramu Aboriginal Dance and Didgeridoo. 

It was one of the City of Ryde’s events during NAIDOC Week, the national celebration of indigenous culture.   

The group was enthusiastically received by an audience of more than 100 children, parents and other fans. Hendo was there for 2RRR and recorded some of the performances and afterwards spoke with Walangari.
