The fraught issue of domestic violence and access to support services was front and centre when Mark Henderson ‘Hendo’ interviewed Cate Sinclair, CEO of the Northern Centre in Ryde.
Domestic Violence continues to be a major problem, with a woman and two children killed in Campbelltown last week—just the latest in a long line of tragedies.
It is estimated that 1 in 4 women (27%) in Australia experienced violence by an intimate partner or family member since the age of 15 years old.
Services are struggling to meet demand, as issues like housing affordability’s and cost of living increases to impact Australians.
Hendo and Cate were joined by Sara Green from Lane Cove-based provider, ‘Empowering Relationships’ to discuss the issue of deteriorating relationships in domestic violence.
