Hollywood may have just celebrated the Academy Awards, but Australia proudly shines a spotlight on its own film industry with the AACTA Awards. Rising Australian film star, Kloud Milas joined Mark Henderson, ‘Hendo,’ live to discuss her many achievements and growing career.

Milas starred in ‘Carmen & Bolude‘, which earned nominations for Best Independent Film and Best Original Song at the ACTAA Awards. In the film, she portrayed a dramatic “bridezilla” in a bridal shop—drawing creative inspiration from a memorable scene in the iconic Australian film Muriel’s Wedding.

She also received personal consideration for Best Supporting Actress in Film for her roles in Box: Metaphor (as ‘Out’) and Cuckoo’s Den (as ‘Elena’), further highlighting her remarkable range and skill. In Box: Metaphor, she demonstrated her multifaceted talent by serving as an assistant director as well.

Milas’ passion for film began early. As a child, she was captivated by the music video for “Cats in the Cradle” by Ugly Kid Joe. Reflecting on that moment, she shared, “I was just in awe; I had just been so mesmerised by it.”
